Rockbridge Veterans for Harris Launched

Veteran Dave Brockway organized a group of fourteen people who attended the inaugural meeting of the Rockbridge Veterans for Harris on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Pink Cadillac restaurant on Route 11. The group covering Rockbridge County, Lexington and Buena Vista will launch an ad campaign in the area, meet regularly and plans to grow quickly to at least 50 Veterans who want to be active in the group.

Group members are available to make presentations to citizen and veterans groups in the region and will produce letters to the editors of local news organizations, videos that will be placed on social media and a series of articles and writings that show why Vice-President Kamala Harris is the most capable candidate of being a trusted and great Commander in Chief of the United States of America and should be elected President of the United States.

The Census Bureau estimates that Rockbridge County has 1,925 veterans, with Buena Vista having 314 veterans and Lexington having 206 veterans, totaling 2,545 veterans in the area. (Note, this number for Lexington may not include all veterans associated with Virginia Military Institute).

If you are a veteran, you are invited to join and be active in this group. Look for ads, articles, announcements and yard signs that say “Veterans for Kamala Harris,” “Veterans for Tim Kaine,” and “Veterans for Ken Mitchell,” Congressional Candidate for the 6th Congressional District, popping up throughout the region during this campaign.

Rockbridge Veterans for Harris requests that everyone who is legally entitled to vote in the Rockbridge area become a registered voter and that all registered voters, including our veterans, and military personnel stationed in the United States and overseas cast their ballots in this election. Veterans have fought, and our current military personnel fight every day, to preserve our freedoms and the right to vote. The candidate who is most qualified to be Commander in Chief should be elected President of the United States and the best candidate for every elected office deserves your vote.
