November 3 decides who speaks for the Shenandoah Valley in Congress and the Senate. Beth Macy is running for the 6th District seat Ben Cline has held since 2019, and Senator Mark Warner is up for reelection.

What the amendments do
Question 1 puts reproductive freedom in the Virginia Constitution. It protects decisions about prenatal care, childbirth, birth control, abortion, miscarriage care, and fertility treatment, and it shields patients and doctors from punishment for those decisions. The state could still restrict third-trimester abortion, except when the patient’s health is at risk or the pregnancy cannot survive.
Question 2 removes Virginia’s constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. It affirms that two adults can marry regardless of sex, gender, or race, and requires the state to treat all legal marriages equally.
Question 3 makes voting a fundamental right in Virginia. People convicted of a felony would get their voting rights back automatically on release, instead of waiting on the governor. It also replaces outdated “mentally incompetent” language with a narrower standard.

There will also be a “Bridge Brigade” - come to the office and ask for details. Show up, bring a sign, and make early voting visible.
